Bird lovers will delight in the Bird Alliance of Oregon Wildlife Sanctuary—a free-to-the-public, 172-acre nature sanctuary nestled in the heart of the park. Visit the historical, 23-room Pittock Mansion—a French Renaissance-style château built in 1909 for former Oregonian publisher Henry Pittock and his wife. Now the mansion is owned by the Portland Parks and Recreation Bureau and is open for touring.
